CONTACT WITH A RECRUITER
After you have applied for a role using our online application system, a recruiter will get in touch with you with the next steps. In some cases, we will schedule a phone conversation to talk about your motivation, skills and experience. In other cases, we may let you know that your skills and/or experience are not a match for the role.
ANALYTICAL/TECHNICAL ASSESSMENT
Should our recruiter determine that you may have the potential to succeed at McKinsey based on the initial phone conversation, you will be asked to take an assessment that will allow you to showcase your problem solving, technical and/or analytical skills.
INTERVIEWS
After the assessment, you may be invited to interview with a McKinsey colleague. You will be asked to work through a business case to further test your problem solving skills, and you will have an experience interview to test other skill areas. Our goal is to get to know you better and help you become familiar with our culture, values, and work environment. You can always ask questions and seek feedback - two important elements of our McKinsey culture.
DECISION & FEEDBACK
At the end of the recruiting process, we will inform you about the final decision and will provide you with detailed feedback.
McKinsey’s Internship Program is an opportunity to learn more about the work we do and gain hands on experience.
This 12-month paid internship experience is designed for students who are in their 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree or their 1st or 2nd year of a Master’s degree.
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds, areas of expertise and fields of study. The program combines exceptional training with meaningful work.
High performing interns may receive a permanent job offer to join McKinsey, depending on the success of their internship and open roles at the time.
